Summer 2027 Internship: Quality (Peosta, IA)

About the role

Michelin is offering a Summer 2027 internship in Quality within its chemical, mechanical and material science operations, based in Peosta, Iowa. The intern works in an industrial plant environment on a Monday-to-Friday day shift, supporting quality planning, manufacturing compliance and risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure delivered products comply with quality planning models and manufacturing standards, applying sound MMW practices
• Keep quality and productivity performance in line with shop goals and apply right-first-time principles
• Anticipate customer risks, product compliance issues and quality performance risks, and implement actions to reduce them
• Process complaints, nonconformities, nonstandard situations and performance shifts appropriately
• Demonstrate the effectiveness of implemented actions and resolve causes of anomalies and nonperformance, feeding them into the progress plan
• Complete the Quality Obtention section of the Progress Plan and help operators gain quality job competencies through mentoring and training

Required profile

• Full-time enrollment at an accredited four-year college or university
• Major in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, Computer, Electrical, Environmental Engineering or Computer Science
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
• US citizen, permanent resident or otherwise authorized to work for Michelin on an ongoing, indefinite basis; immigration sponsorship is not available
• Ability to work professionally with external partners, suppliers, customers and colleagues, and to work in a team
• Willingness to work in an industrial plant setting, Monday to Friday on day shift

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to learn other software systems
