Substance Use Disorder Counselor

About the role

Arbor Place, Inc., a private non-profit serving Western Wisconsin since 1975, is seeking a Substance Use Disorder Counselor in Menomonie, WI. The counselor works with a multidisciplinary clinical team to provide client-centered care to individuals and families dealing with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. The position is offered as either full-time or part-time.

Key responsibilities

• Complete substance use assessments and treatment recommendations
• Provide individual, family and possibly group counseling services
• Develop individualized treatment plans with effective interventions
• Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation, including progress notes and discharge summaries
• Coordinate care with internal teams to support client success
• Take part in staff meetings, trainings and organizational projects

Required profile

• Current Wisconsin SAC or CSAC credential required
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Experience with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders preferred
• Team player who communicates well and contributes positively to workplace culture
