Strategic IT Advisor (AI & Technology Strategy)

About the role

GadellNet Consulting Services, a growing IT company serving businesses across the Midwest, is hiring a Strategic IT Advisor in Indianapolis. The advisor works with clients to turn their organizations around through the strategic use of technology and AI, acting as a thought leader who helps clients integrate AI into their technology roadmap to build sustainable competitive advantage.

Key responsibilities

• Create and manage a technology vision and roadmap for 3-5 years, prioritizing initiatives aligned with the client's mission and strategy
• Engage regularly with key stakeholders such as the CEO, CFO and COO to set direction for future IT investments
• Guide clients in developing AI strategies, including automation, better decision-making and responsible AI adoption, data readiness and AI governance
• Advise continuously on technology trends and opportunities within the client's organization
• Write and deliver IT strategic roadmaps and IT staffing and training plans, and optimize the IT budget
• Lead special projects such as IT audits, application optimization and other IT strategy requests
• Architect and plan business solution architectures using Microsoft stack technologies (Server, SQL, Azure, Office 365)
• Work with the GadellNet Operations Team so projects are aligned with requirements and completed successfully
• Run pre-sales activities to generate new consulting engagements and identify opportunities for GadellNet Managed Services
• Build and elevate the GadellNet brand within the industry and the community

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of common SMB tech stacks (Microsoft 365, Azure, Active Directory, Windows Server, firewalls, etc.)
• Demonstrated knowledge of AI and machine learning applications in business settings, including Microsoft AI tools (Copilot, Azure AI, Power Platform AI capabilities) and emerging AI technologies
• Ability to explain AI use cases and value propositions to C-suite executives in clear, business-focused terms
