Strategic Finance & FP&A Lead

About the role

Recharged is seeking its first dedicated finance leader to own strategic finance and FP&A across the business. You will be responsible for the financial model, board and investor materials, budgets, cash‑flow forecasting, lender reporting, and the analysis that drives major operating decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive financial model and five‑year forecasts for board presentations.
• Prepare budgets, cash‑flow forecasts, and lender reports.
• Produce board and investor decks that communicate performance and strategy.
• Analyze unit economics—including acquisition cost, reconditioning, transport, days to sale, gross profit per unit, and financing attachment rates—to influence sales, inventory sourcing, and product decisions.
• Partner with accounting, external auditors, operations, and engineering teams to ensure data integrity and efficient financial processes.
• Build and scale the FP&A function as the company grows.

• Analytical, data‑driven, and a fast learner who can quickly understand a complex operational business.
• Comfortable building long‑range financial models and digging into detailed cost drivers.
• Detail‑oriented with a strong focus on data accuracy and integrity.
• Effective collaborator across sales, reconditioning, accounting, and engineering teams.

Required skills

• Exceptional financial modeling ability.
• Experience working with large, messy datasets.
• Proficiency in SQL and business intelligence tools.
• Working understanding of accounting, the three financial statements, and GAAP concepts.
