About the role
Frontier Energy is seeking a Strategic Energy Consultant to lead Commercial & Industrial Technical Assistance projects for utilities. You will shape client solutions, drive decarbonization initiatives, and translate complex energy concepts into actionable programs.
Key responsibilities
- Anticipate client needs and align Frontier’s solutions with business goals and industry trends.
- Develop and expand relationships with existing clients while generating new work through partners and stakeholders.
- Apply technical expertise to solve complex energy challenges for industry stakeholders.
- Manage medium‑complexity projects, delegate tasks to junior engineers, and provide mentorship.
- Review budgets and scopes of work to ensure milestones and deliverables are met.
- Coordinate cross‑disciplinary teams to execute program‑level assignments.
- Stay current with trends in building science, energy efficiency, and decarbonization.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, energy, building science, environmental science, or related field.
- 5–7 years of experience in HVAC, renewable energy, utilities, facility management, or consulting.
- Strong understanding of engineering, physics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, building energy efficiency, grid‑responsive and decarbonization technologies.
- Experience with building mechanical systems, distributed energy resources, and electrification technologies.
- Proven project‑management experience using industry tools and platforms.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to travel for off‑site activities.
