Storeroom Manager

About the role

Loews Sapphire Falls Resort, part of Loews Hotels at Universal Orlando, is hiring a Storeroom Manager. The role oversees the storage and inventory of supplies, equipment and food and beverage items used throughout the hotel, keeping stock levels organized and replenished, tracking deliveries and inspecting incoming goods for quality and accuracy.

Key responsibilities

• Lead receiving and storeroom activities so that materials and supplies arrive as specified on purchase orders and are stored securely
• Complete computerized receiving reports accurately and on time, and report discrepancies so credit or replacement can be requested
• Maintain organized purchase order and receiving documentation files
• Ensure proper storage, refrigeration of perishables and rotation of stock to prevent deterioration
• Follow requisition procedures for items leaving the storeroom and indicate prices on requisitions
• Maintain the perpetual inventory of the liquor storeroom and monitor par levels, placing requisitions when reorder points are reached
• Keep the storeroom clean and meet food safety and sanitation requirements
• Supervise daily, monthly, quarterly and annual inventories
• Coordinate shipping, receipt, storage and delivery of packages delivered by common carrier

Required profile

• 1 to 2 years of supervisory experience in hotel procurement, receiving and/or storeroom management
• Thorough knowledge of meat, produce and grocery specifications and standard grading classifications
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred

Required skills

• Working knowledge of inventory control software and Microsoft Office
• Ability to operate basic storeroom equipment such as a pallet jack and forklift after training
