Store Manager - San Mateo Area

About the role

Peet's Coffee is looking for passionate, people-first leaders to become Store Managers in the San Mateo area. You will lead and inspire a team to deliver outstanding service, drive sales and achieve financial goals, while keeping coffee bar operations clean, organized and compliant with safety and labor laws.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and inspire a team through a culture of accountability, growth and high performance.
• Execute business plans, manage inventory and cash handling, and analyze reports to find growth and cost-control opportunities.
• Build trust, recognize achievements and encourage open communication to support employee retention.
• Recruit, train and coach staff, giving ongoing feedback and performance management.
• Keep coffee bar operations to high standards, including cleanliness, organization, product quality, staffing and compliance with safety and labor laws.
• Use Peet's tools to schedule and deploy staff to meet productivity, speed and service goals.
• Show sound judgment, change management, problem-solving and de-escalation skills in a fast-paced environment.

Required profile

• 3 years of management or supervisory experience in the service or food industry, or equivalent related experience and training.
• Open availability and willingness to follow management scheduling guidelines, working 40 hours per week.
• Ability to work varied hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights and holidays.
• Compliance with Peet's Employment of Minors policy, supervision of and work with minors.
• Legally eligible to work in the country and at least 18 years old.
• Able to perform various physical tasks during a shift.

What we offer

• Pay of $33.60-$37.50 per hour, depending on experience, skills and location (annualized $69,888-$78,000 at 40 hours per week).
