Maintenance Technician

About the role

SpringHill Suites by Marriott Louisville Downtown is hiring a Maintenance Technician in Louisville, KY. The role covers preventative and repair maintenance so the hotel stays up to its quality and sustainability standards, while treating guests warmly and focusing on guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with preventative maintenance and complete work orders for replacing and repairing ceiling tiles, sheet rock and wallpaper.
• Install or repair sheetrock and other wall coverings, paint designated areas and items, and replace basic electrical fixtures, light switches, receptacles, light bulbs and fixtures.
• Perform minor plumbing functions.
• Maintain curb appeal, including snow removal, lawn care, gardening and trash removal.
• Follow Service Recovery Guidelines and sustainability practices under the HHM EarthView program.
• Practice safe work habits, wear protective equipment and comply with MSDS and OSHA standards.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.

Required profile

• High school diploma; trade school coursework in a related field preferred.
• Previous maintenance experience or equivalent training required.
• Ability to stand for long periods, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, bend, kneel, crawl and climb.

The work schedule varies and may include holidays, weekends and alternate shifts. The advertised pay is hourly.
