Stewarding Supervisor

About the role

The Greenbrier Hotel in White Sulphur Springs is looking for a Stewarding Supervisor within its Chief Stewarding department. The supervisor supports the manager in the daily operations of dining outlets and banquet services, leads a team of 80+ staff, and ensures sanitation, safety and service standards are met across kitchens and events.

Key responsibilities

• Support the manager in dining and banquet operations by building a high-energy, guest-service-focused team and managing resources
• Monitor the productivity of stewarding staff and ensure sanitation and safety standards are met in all kitchens
• Work with chefs and dining room managers to improve kitchen cleanliness and organization
• Oversee daily banquet kitchen workers so service standards are met or exceeded
• Visit all work areas, outlets and catered events regularly
• Run energetic daily lineups, build morale, promote teamwork and train and coach new hires
• Ensure company policies and work rules are followed

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. required
• Food service experience preferred; supervisory experience required
• Must obtain a West Virginia Food Handler's Card
• Able to lift at least 41 lbs
• Reports to the Chief Executive Steward and supervises 80+ staff

• Ability to remain calm under stress and follow up consistently
• Understanding of diversity and of the collective bargaining agreement

Working hours vary with business demand, averaging 8-12 hours per day and include weekends, holidays, overtime and split shifts.
