Part-Time Room Attendant - Housekeeper

About the role

Holiday Inn Express & Suites Huntsville is hiring a part-time Room Attendant (housekeeper) in Huntsville, TX. The role keeps guest rooms clean and tidy so they meet established standards, and offers a growth path to Housekeeping Supervisor, Assistant Executive Housekeeper and Executive Housekeeper.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and maintain guest rooms to established standards, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming within the allotted time.
• Greet guests warmly and change bed linens, replacing towels and other amenities.
• Clean and polish furniture and fixtures, and dust furniture, walls or equipment.
• Notify managers of needed repairs in guest rooms and process guest items left behind according to the lost and found policy.
• Follow safe work habits, wear protective equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
• Perform houseperson and lobby attendant duties when short-staffed or during peak periods.
• Keep an eye on guest satisfaction scores and perform other duties requested by management.

Required profile

• High school diploma preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience required or equivalent training.
• Ability to understand and communicate in English.

Schedule varies and may include holidays and weekends; the work involves standing, walking, lifting up to 20 pounds and using cleaning chemicals.
