Staff Software Engineer – Provider (Remote)

About the role

Rula is building a brand‑new Provider Onboarding engineering domain to improve mental health care access. As a Staff Software Engineer you will be the chief architect for this team, shaping product and operational solutions for internal and external users.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, database‑backed web applications and microservices for provider onboarding, pricing, payments, and forms.
• Lead the creation of custom tools and integrate industry‑leading solutions to enhance workflow efficiency.
• Mentor senior engineers, establish design patterns, and drive the full development lifecycle from planning to post‑launch maintenance.

Required profile

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• At least 1 year working on healthcare or similarly regulated systems.
• Experience building a new team from the ground up and collaborating across technical and non‑technical groups.
