Staff Registered Nurse – Medical ICU (6 Night Shift)

About the role

Join the Microscopic Intensive Care Unit (MICU) team at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee as a Staff Registered Nurse. This full‑time (0.9 FTE) position works three 12‑hour night shifts (7 PM‑7:30 AM) each week, providing critical care to adult patients.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for assigned in‑patient population.
• Deliver safe, evidence‑based care in a high‑acuity adult ICU environment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient treatment.
• Document patient information accurately and maintain compliance with hospital policies.

Required profile

• Current Wisconsin RN license or a multi‑state license in a Nurse Licensure Compact state.
• Completion of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Clinical competence in adult critical care.
• Ability to enroll in a BSN program within 15 months if not already held.
• Commitment to complete BLS certification within 90 days and ACLS certification within one year of hire.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
