Staff Pharmacist

About the role

Amazon Pharmacy is seeking a Staff Pharmacist to help make medication access easier for customers. The role involves hands‑on involvement in the full prescription fulfillment process, from dispensing and verification to packing orders for shipment.

Key responsibilities

• Verify medication quality for all packet and bulk dispenses and perform final quality‑assurance checks.
• Collaborate with fellow pharmacists to ensure new business line productions meet quality standards.
• Complete ancillary pharmacy tasks such as checking returns, inputting medication rejects, overseeing substitutions and canister approvals.
• Answer clinical questions, provide guidance and investigate errors for proper resolution and reporting.
• Collate and deliver pharmacy information to the distribution team.
• Maintain compliance with company procedures, federal and state regulations.
• Manage and maintain customer profiles in PharmacyOS.
• Process initial prescription orders, coordinate transfers, and acquire new prescriptions with a focus on system‑based verification and documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD).
• Active, unrestricted pharmacist license in the state of employment.
• Knowledge of pharmacy laws and federal/state regulations.
• Familiarity with Windows desktop environment and standard office applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to perform basic computer functions and lift up to 20 lb.
