About the role
The Staff Accountant ensures the accuracy and consistency of dealership transactions, supporting the Dealership Controller in month‑end close and supervising accounting staff when needed.
Key responsibilities
- Post and reconcile monthly manufacturer factory part statements, extended warranty, insurance, finance reserve, and floorplan statements.
- Prepare monthly sales unit count and achievement reports.
- Research and post transactions on weekly bank statements as required.
- Assist the Dealership Controller with end‑of‑month entries, training clerks, and overseeing designated schedules.
- Serve as supervisor to accounting staff in the absence of the Controller or Office Manager.
Required profile
- 1‑3 years of accounting experience.
- Solid understanding of finance, accounting, and bookkeeping principles.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail.
Required skills
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- General Microsoft Office skills.
