AR/Collections Supervisor

About the role

The AR/Collections Supervisor leads a team of collectors responsible for managing Bureau Veritas' open items, including invoices, credit notes and unapplied cash. The role focuses on minimizing past‑due balances and bad‑debt write‑offs while ensuring compliance with departmental SOPs.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee a team of collectors to reduce overdue amounts, enforce SOP compliance and provide mentorship.
• Present cash‑position updates and generate analytical reports using Excel V‑lookups, PivotTables, and filters for operations and business leaders.
• Execute collection calls, emails and statements, develop payment strategies, and coordinate with billing, operations and cash‑application teams to resolve disputes and clear unapplied cash.
• Maintain accurate collection notes after each interaction to ensure full transparency of open invoices and credits.

Required profile

• GED, high‑school diploma or associate degree.
• Minimum three years of B2B collections experience with a proven record of meeting targets and reducing DSO.
• Strong analytical, communication and customer‑service skills with meticulous attention to detail.

Required skills

• Intermediate Excel proficiency (PivotTables, V‑Lookups, filters, formatting).
• Experience with accounting and collections software as assigned.
