Staff Accountant

About the role

The company is seeking a Staff Accountant to manage month‑end and year‑end close processes, ensure accurate financial reporting, and support tax and audit activities. This role works closely with the Controller to improve financial processes and maintain data integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Execute monthly and annual accounting close procedures.
• Review financial statements and perform account reconciliations to identify irregularities.
• Analyze budgets, create expense reports, and maintain job costing documentation.
• Handle tax policies, payments, and returns; assist with financial and tax audits.
• Post transactions and categorize records in the general ledger.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to analyze transactions.
• Review internal controls, address deficiencies, and apply new accounting policies.

Required profile

• Accounting degree.
• 2‑5 years of accounting experience.
• CPA or CPA candidate is a plus.
• Familiarity with job costing, WIP reporting, and construction billing processes.
• Experience with construction accounting software (e.g., Sage 300 CRE, Viewpoint Vista, Foundation, CMiC).
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and detail‑orientation skills.
• Excellent organizational, communication, confidentiality, and integrity.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office Word.
• Microsoft Excel (advanced spreadsheet proficiency).
• Construction accounting software such as Sage 300 CRE, Viewpoint Vista, Foundation, CMiC.
• General accounting information system knowledge.
