Staff Accountant (Baton Rouge, LA)

About the role

Turner Industries is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its corporate finance team in Baton Rouge. The role involves preparing and maintaining accurate financial records, tracking assets, liabilities, profit and loss, and tax obligations while supporting the company’s operational goals.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and update financial statements, general ledger entries, and supporting schedules.
• Monitor and reconcile assets, liabilities, and equity accounts.
• Assist with tax reporting and compliance activities.
• Follow established accounting policies and procedures.
• Perform routine accounting tasks and respond to additional assignments from supervisors.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree or higher in accounting or a related field.
• 1‑5 years of accounting experience.
• Basic knowledge of accounting systems and strong analytical abilities.
• Technical proficiency with the ability to learn new software quickly.
• Ability to pass a post‑offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation.

Required skills

• Understanding of accounting principles.
• Working knowledge of Google Workspace.
• Proficiency with accounting software/systems.
