Sr. Staff Legal Trial Attorney

About the role

Zurich North America Claims is seeking an experienced Liability Trial Attorney to join its hybrid team in Irvine, CA. The role involves full-cycle insurance defense work, from investigation through trial and post‑trial activities, with a focus on delivering high‑quality outcomes for clients.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct investigations, legal analysis, and provide advice on insurance defense matters.
• Prepare and file pleadings, manage pre‑trial discovery, and aggressively handle hearings and trials.
• Collaborate with claims adjusters to develop case strategies and ensure timely resolutions.
• Mentor junior attorneys and serve as a technical resource on legal strategies.

Required profile

• Juris Doctor with at least 7 years of litigation experience.
• Member in good standing of the California State Bar Association.
• Proven trial and settlement skills with ability to work independently.
