Sr. Floating Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Sr. Floating Maintenance Technician provides technical and mechanical support across multiple properties in the East Bay region, ensuring buildings, grounds, and amenities meet Greystar’s standards for safety, appearance, and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing according to policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the make‑ready process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and tools, track usage, and notify supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Assist with grounds upkeep, pressure‑washing common areas, and minor painting or signage work.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of current maintenance experience with a dependable, adaptable work ethic.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 25 lb independently (50 lb with assistance), climbing ladders, and working in all weather conditions.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to other properties for training or support.

Required skills

• Mechanical and electrical repair proficiency.
• Experience with make‑ready and preventative maintenance procedures.
• Inventory tracking and basic vendor management.
