Sr. Accounting Transformation Lead

About the role

Lyra Health, a provider of evidence-based mental health care, is looking for a Sr. Accounting Transformation Lead to support the SVP, Global Controller in advancing the maturity, scalability and effectiveness of its accounting operating model. The role partners with global leadership to identify, prioritize, plan and execute accounting transformation initiatives covering organizational design, process standardization, technology enablement and public-company readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Assess current-state capabilities across people, processes, technology, data, governance and controls, and turn strategic priorities into project plans with measurable objectives and milestones.
• Simplify, harmonize and automate core accounting processes such as record-to-report, financial close, reconciliations, consolidation, intercompany accounting and financial reporting.
• Define clear roles, responsibilities, policies, procedures and performance expectations, and work with accounting leaders to improve close efficiency and the quality and timeliness of financial information.
• Identify opportunities to use automation, analytics, AI and workflow solutions, and partner with Technology and business stakeholders on finance technology investments.
• Project manage SEC-compliant financial reporting readiness, disclosure processes, close and reporting timelines, and help resolve gaps affecting IPO timing.
• Report to senior leadership on priorities, progress, risks and resource needs, lead change management and build relationships across functions and geographies.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field; CPA strongly preferred.
• Approximately 12+ years of progressive experience in accounting, controllership or finance transformation, with significant leadership in complex, high-growth organizations.
• Experience leading large-scale finance or accounting transformations across multiple functions, geographies and systems.
• Demonstrated experience redesigning and standardizing accounting processes and operating models.
• Prior experience in public accounting or a large multinational organization is a plus.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of finance technology ecosystems, including ERP, consolidation, financial reporting, close management, reconciliation, workflow, automation and data/analytics solutions.
• Exceptional project management, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
