Sports Medicine Sales Associate

About the role

Stryker, a global medical technology company, is hiring a Sports Medicine Sales Associate in Oklahoma City, OK. This is a field-based position where you act as the face of Stryker products and support Sales Representatives in selling, promoting and marketing them. After product training, you tailor the promotional message to each customer, advise on product selection and answer questions about functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Assist Sales Representatives in the sales, promotion and marketing of Stryker products.
• Educate doctors, nurses and other staff on proper use and maintenance of products, product updates, portfolio changes and educational programs.
• Tailor the promotional message based on knowledge of the customer and advise on product selection.
• Negotiate price and terms of transactions with customers and resolve customer complaints and questions.
• Analyze territory market potential and prioritize call patterns accordingly.

Required profile

• 0-2 years in an outside sales position; medical-related experience preferred.
• B.A. or B.S. degree required.
• Successful completion of in-house product training program.
• Ability to communicate with large groups and by telephone, and to drive an automobile.
• Up to 20% overnight travel annually; ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and 20 pounds constantly.

Required skills

• Command of all Stryker products, including functionality, features and differentiators from competitors.
• Use of common office equipment such as fax, modem, calculator and PC.
• Results-driven, confident communicator and strategic closer who exceeds quarterly sales quotas.
