Speech Therapist – Pediatrics – Outpatient Rehab

About the role

The Speech Therapist provides autonomous speech therapy treatment for pediatric patients in an outpatient rehab setting, evaluating, planning, and monitoring progress to meet patient and community needs.

Key responsibilities

• Perform evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for pediatric patients.
• Assess patient response, adjust treatment plans, and maintain accurate records.
• Achieve productivity targets related to access to care, patient experience, and quality metrics.
• Assist in program development and enhancement to serve patient and community needs.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Current state license or eligibility for licensure, with reciprocity options.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• ASHA Clinical Competence certification within two years of hire.

Required skills

• Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications.
• Effective verbal and written communication for patient care interactions.
• Strong judgment and decision‑making for diverse diagnoses.
• Interpersonal skills to adapt behavior to pediatric patient population.
