Medical Assistant – Pediatric Care

About the role

The Medical Assistant will support patient care at Lapalco Pediatrics, working under the supervision of licensed providers. This position involves direct interaction with patients of all ages, ensuring smooth visits and accurate documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Assist patients and providers throughout each visit, preparing rooms and answering patient questions.
• Document medical information in company systems and handle patient registration when needed.
• Maintain clinical knowledge and credentials through ongoing professional development.
• Communicate effectively by phone and in person to meet patient needs promptly.

Required profile

• High School Diploma/GED; preferred completion of a formal medical assistant training program.
• Experience handling confidential information in a fast‑paced environment.
• Medical Assistant Certification and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Required skills

• Clinical knowledge and proficiency in using computers, software, and web‑based applications.
• Effective verbal and written communication with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service abilities.
