Speech Language Pathologist – Inpatient – Acute – PRN

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Health System is seeking a Clinical Speech Pathologist on a PRN basis to work in the inpatient acute setting at Hillcrest Hospital. This position provides flexible, as‑needed coverage between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm.

Key responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic speech‑language pathology test procedures and evaluate patients' communication and swallowing functions.
• Interpret and report test results to facilitate medical diagnosis and develop therapeutic plans, including frequency, focus, prognosis, and duration of therapy.
• Provide counseling and education to patients and families about communication disorders and treatment options.
• Select and recommend assistive speech devices, conduct re‑evaluations to monitor progress, and maintain accurate service records.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Speech/Language Pathology.
• Current Ohio Speech‑Language Pathology license (or eligibility).
• Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC‑SLP) from ASHA.
• Completion of a nine‑month clinical fellowship.
