RN – Cardiovascular Surgery ICU (CSICU)

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Cardiovascular Surgery Intensive Care Unit (CSICU). The RN will provide direct patient care in a fast‑paced environment caring for pre‑ and post‑operative cardiac, thoracic and vascular surgery patients.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care, implement and monitor patient care plans, and record patient conditions.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to nursing protocols and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Educate patients and families, assess discharge needs, and coordinate care transitions.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN) with current RN licensure.
• At least one year of acute‑care RN experience (military RN experience considered).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required upon hire or within one year.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Current state RN license.
• Experience in acute care settings.
