About the role

The Assistant Nurse Manager supports the Nurse Manager in supervising clinical operations on the Level III Labor & Delivery unit at Hillcrest Hospital. This full‑day position provides hands‑on patient care while coordinating staff, schedules, and quality initiatives.

Key responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate unit clinical operations and patient care.
Review major operational issues with Nurse Managers and assume their responsibilities in their absence.
Conduct clinical evaluations, counsel staff on performance, and manage corrective actions.
Interview, select, orient, and schedule new caregivers to ensure adequate coverage.
Participate in quality improvement projects, research initiatives, and interdisciplinary communication.

Required profile

Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a BSN.
Current RN licensure in the state.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
At least two years of recent clinical nursing experience.
Strong clinical knowledge and demonstrated leadership abilities.

Required skills

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
