Specialized Maintenance Technician

About the role

Join Bosch Charleston as a Specialized Maintenance Technician, supporting assembly lines by troubleshooting components and ensuring optimal equipment performance.

Key responsibilities

• Directly support assembly lines by troubleshooting components using various techniques.
• Monitor equipment functionality through device logins and perform periodic preventive checks.
• Analyze equipment problems, execute repairs, and implement corrective actions to eliminate root causes.
• Lead projects focused on Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) improvement and machine stability.
• Develop training material and train personnel as a subject matter expert.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED; at least 18 years old.
• Minimum two years of experience in manufacturing or machining.
• Ability to communicate technical instructions clearly.
• Willingness to work alternate shifts and adapt to changes.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, print‑reading and mechanics.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Understanding of electrical/controls systems and mechatronics.
• Experience with Staubli and Omron robots, vision systems, Trumpf lasers, and Profibus.
• Knowledge of SAP work order/spare parts system.
• Ability to troubleshoot PLC programs; programming experience a plus (Siemens, Allen Bradley, OpCon preferred).
• Familiarity with CNC machines (drives, axes) preferred.
