About the role
Use your STEM engineering background to join the Federal Bureau of Investigation as a Special Agent. You will apply software development and technical expertise to investigate cyber‑attacks, terrorism, fraud and other national security threats.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and conduct investigations of potential violations of federal laws, cybersecurity incidents, and public safety threats.
- Exercise judgment, resourcefulness, and versatility to meet investigative demands.
- Develop and maintain liaison relationships with federal, state, local, tribal, territorial and international law‑enforcement agencies.
- Maintain required physical fitness to perform law‑enforcement duties.
Required profile
- U.S. citizen eligible for Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in engineering or a related STEM field.
- Willingness to travel as required and meet FBI employment eligibility requirements.
