About the role
The Greenbrier Hotel in White Sulphur Springs is hiring a Sophomore Apprentice in the Chef department. The apprentice works alongside the Second Cook and rotates through all dining outlets, with normal working hours varying by need and possibly including split shifts.
Key responsibilities
- Perform the duties of the Second Cook.
- Rotate through all dining outlets, including the main dining room, breakfast, bake shop, pastry kitchen, butcher shop, banqueting rooms, conference rooms, presidential suite, lunch and dinner stations, tavern restaurant, salad and hot appetizer stations, fish station, Draper's Café and omelet station.
- Handle guest interaction, ordering, cleaning up and clerical tasks.
Required profile
- 3 years of experience in commercial food service.
- High school diploma or G.E.D.; an A.S. or A.O.S. is preferred.
- Fluent reading, writing and speaking of English, and understanding of basic culinary terminology.
- Able to stand, walk, sit, climb, bend and stoop, and lift up to 20 pounds.
