Solutions Engineer - US Public Sector

About the role

Aikido Security, a developer-first security platform founded in 2022, is hiring a Solutions Engineer to support its growing US public sector business. This is not a standard commercial SE role: the candidate must understand how government buyers evaluate, procure and adopt security technology. The role partners closely with sales on complex, strategic opportunities and guides technical validation across the buying process.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Account Executives on US public sector opportunities, especially federal ones
• Lead technical discovery, demos, evaluations and proof-of-value activities
• Translate product capabilities into value for government stakeholders and technical buyers
• Support complex sales cycles involving public sector procurement, compliance and security requirements
• Act as a technical partner throughout the deal cycle, helping move opportunities toward close
• Work cross-functionally with internal teams to support the needs of the specialized market

Required profile

• 3-7+ years in a Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer or Pre-Sales role supporting US public sector sales motions (federal experience strongly preferred)
• Ability to explain complex concepts simply and clearly
• Hands-on mindset, able to troubleshoot and dig into technical workflows
• Comfortable in a highly consultative, strategic, non-standard sales motion

Required skills

• Strong technical foundation in cloud, DevOps, security or developer tooling
• Experience running demos, POCs and technical evaluations
