Solutions Consultant – Public Sector

About the role

Ramp is seeking a Solutions Consultant for the public sector to act as the primary technical and financial advisor for government agencies, educational institutions, and nonprofits evaluating Ramp’s platform. You will guide prospects through discovery, design compliant solutions, and deliver demos that showcase modern finance workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery and deliver customized demos for public‑sector prospects.
• Architect secure, scalable solutions using Ramp’s APIs, ERP integrations, and compliance frameworks.
• Partner with Account Executives to drive consensus across diverse stakeholders.
• Ensure solutions align with FedRAMP, SOC 2, HIPAA, CJIS and other procurement requirements.
• Lead RFP responses, build ROI analyses, and support post‑sale implementations with Customer Success.

Required profile

• 5‑7 years in Solutions Consulting, Sales Engineering or Solutions Architecture at a SaaS/fintech firm.
• Strong background in financial systems, accounting workflows and ERP integrations.
• Experience supporting public‑sector organizations and navigating multi‑stakeholder sales cycles.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, business, finance or related field.

Required skills

• API integration and SFTP configuration expertise.
• Knowledge of security protocols and compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, SOC 2, HIPAA, CJIS).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Programming basics in Python, SQL and Java for solution prototyping.
