Software Engineering Intern (Fall 2026)

About the role

Rendezvous Robotics is developing electromagnetic self‑assembling tiles for modular spacecraft. As a Software Engineering Intern you will contribute to flight software, ground‑station tools, and communication protocols for this cutting‑edge space technology.

Key responsibilities

• Write and test flight software for the onboard compute platform.
• Build tools for ground‑station operations, including telemetry visualization and command sequencing.
• Develop communication protocols that adapt as the spacecraft assembly changes shape or membership.
• Create simulation environments to test new logic before hardware integration.
• Debug issues spanning software and hardware together with the electrical team.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficient in C/C++ and Python.
• Understanding of basic networking and distributed systems concepts.
• Some experience with embedded Linux or bare‑metal firmware.
