About the role

CollectiveCollective is seeking a highly motivated new‑graduate Software Engineer to join its fast‑growing engineering team. You will work on financial products that directly affect self‑employed individuals and small businesses across the United States.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and launch end‑to‑end features that improve solopreneur financial outcomes.
• Integrate Generative AI and large language models to create automated, scalable user experiences.
• Contribute across the full stack using Python/Django and React/TypeScript to replace manual financial workflows.
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate business requirements into high‑impact product solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and planning sessions to elevate engineering practices.
• Learn rapidly from senior engineers and continuously grow technical expertise.

Required profile

• 0–2 years of experience with a degree in Computer Engineering or a related field.
• Product‑focused mindset that balances technical excellence with tangible customer impact.
• Eagerness to explore and apply new technologies, especially Generative AI and LLMs.
• Proven ability to build real projects or contribute to a team using a core programming language.
• Familiarity with modern web technologies through internships or academic projects.
• Based in the Bay Area.
