Software Engineer

About the role

Remilia is building a consumer social platform that combines a social graph, long‑form content, real‑time chat, and a virtual economy on a shared data model. We are looking for software engineers who care about craft, enjoy interesting engineering challenges, and want to own their surface area end‑to‑end.

Key responsibilities

• Develop identity services, user profiles, real‑time chat, timeline‑style content, and social‑graph features.
• Work on feed content algorithms, admin and user dashboards, and integrate external APIs.
• Contribute to multiple front‑ends, Go services, IAM systems, generative AI features, content management systems, mobile apps, and 3rd‑party integrations.
• Handle real‑time events over WebSockets, media pipelines, and other engineering areas as needed.

Required profile

• A portfolio of interesting work you can walk through.
• Experience shipping end‑to‑end products.
• Founding‑engineer or 0→1 startup experience is a plus.
• Interest or background in real‑time systems, systems programming, relational databases, media pipelines, or in‑game social systems.
