Software Engineer Fullstack / Backend II

About the role

Join the Control Plane organization to build and operate a self‑service, automated platform that powers Splunk services across multiple clouds. You will work on large‑scale code that runs daily on AWS, GCP, Azure, and GovCloud, delivering customer‑facing solutions and internal tools that streamline infrastructure management.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain production services and self‑service abstractions for thousands of customers.
• Deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot multi‑cloud systems, ensuring 99.9% uptime.
• Participate in on‑call rotations to resolve critical incidents.
• Create AI‑powered tools to automate engineering workflows and reduce configuration time.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (0 years experience) or Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Strong foundation in software development, data structures, and algorithms.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and building secure, scalable services.

Required skills

• Programming languages: Go, Python, Ruby.
• Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools: Terraform, Ansible, Puppet.
• Container orchestration: Kubernetes, Docker.
• Unix/Linux command line and shell scripting.
• Cloud platforms: AWS, GCP, Azure (including GovCloud).
• Continuous delivery, automated testing, and system observability.
