Software Engineer – Financial Data

About the role

Rogo is building AI‑powered financial data infrastructure for top investment banks and funds. As a Backend Engineer on the Financial Data team you will design and operate the core pipelines that ingest, transform, and serve massive volumes of structured and unstructured financial data.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end data infrastructure, turning complex requirements into reliable, scalable ingestion and serving solutions.
• Architect high‑performance data processing pipelines that handle millions of documents daily with low latency.
• Integrate heterogeneous financial sources—market data vendors, proprietary feeds, third‑party providers—into a unified, queryable platform.
• Collaborate with the Core AI team to ensure data quality and optimal model performance.
• Build secure, compliant integrations that protect enterprise customer data throughout the pipeline.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience building data‑intensive backend systems.
• Strong background in designing large‑scale distributed systems and data pipelines.
• Experience working with globally distributed engineering teams.
• Excellent communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.

Required skills

• Python for backend and API development.
• Proficiency in a strongly typed language (Java preferred, Rust or C++ acceptable).
• Google Cloud Platform (or equivalent) expertise.
• SQL and relational database design, plus NoSQL, Redis, BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift.
• Streaming and batch data pipeline frameworks, queuing, caching, and observability tools.
