Software Engineer – Factory Team

About the role

Rogo is building AI that automates financial workflows and needs a Backend Software Engineer to own the internal systems that keep the company running. You will design, implement, and operate services, pipelines, and agents that connect Rogo’s internal records and act on them.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end internal systems, turning ambiguous operational problems into production services (routing, approvals, notifications, reporting, provisioning).
• Build a coherent internal data layer by integrating heterogeneous systems of record (CRM, billing, call recordings, third‑party enrichment).
• Ship unattended agents that perform research, enrichment, drafting, summarization, data entry, and system hygiene, with robust guardrails and monitoring.
• Automate the customer lifecycle by creating provisioning, onboarding, and account‑setup systems that scale with enterprise customers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 2+ years of professional software engineering experience delivering production backend systems.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with non‑technical stakeholders.
• Passion for AI agents and automation, demonstrated by built systems rather than just reading about them.

Required skills

• TypeScript for backend services and APIs.
• Proficiency in Java or Python (or another second language).
• Experience deploying and operating services on GCP or equivalent cloud stack.
• Strong command of relational databases, SQL, schema design, and query optimization.
• Hands‑on experience with LLMs in production (prompting, tool/function calling, retrieval, agent workflows).
• Integration of third‑party APIs (REST, webhooks, authentication, rate limits, pagination).
• Knowledge of asynchronous patterns: queuing, background jobs, scheduling, retries, idempotency, observability.
