Software Engineer (CNO Embedded)

About the role

CACI is hiring a Software Engineer in Annapolis Junction, Maryland, to act as an embedded developer and general-purpose CNO software engineer on up-and-coming projects. You will design, develop, prototype, modify and integrate solutions that deliver mission-centric results, working closely with analysts, operators, data scientists and other software engineers. The position requires a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph and offers up to 10% local travel.

Key responsibilities

• Augment existing tool sets and derive, document and analyze requirements.
• Build prototypes to demonstrate understanding of mission requirements.
• Produce end tool sets that can operate within mission constraints.
• Work with customer leadership to build relationships that enable and improve mission success.
• Provide support for fielded software systems.

Required profile

• Active TS/SCI with polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management or a related discipline; 12 years B.S. or 10 years M.S. experience, with 4 years of additional software engineering experience substituting for a bachelor's degree.
• Proven experience planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts.
• Experience developing CNO-specific software in Linux/Windows/Embedded applications, reverse engineering (especially with Ghidra), and producing and modifying software in C/C++ and Python.
• Familiarity with Git and Subversion, and willingness to learn new technologies.

Required skills

• Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence)
• Desired: Apache NiFi, Agile/continuous delivery, hands-on test case automation, and experience monitoring deployed systems and dataflows
