Soda Fountain / Bar Attendant

About the role

The Greenbrier Hotel is hiring a seasonal Soda Fountain / Bar Attendant for its Draper's location in White Sulphur Springs. The role covers making desserts and drinks, keeping the work area clean, and serving guests and internal customers.

Key responsibilities

• Make desserts
• Make alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
• Clean and maintain the work area
• Provide customer service to guests and internal customers
• Order supplies and food items

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred
• Past experience in food preparation and bartending
• Customer service experience
• Ability to obtain a West Virginia Food Handler's Permit
• Able to stand for long periods and lift, carry and stock 40 pounds daily
• People-oriented, detail-oriented, organized, professional appearance and team player

Required skills

• Operating a point-of-sale (P.O.S.) system
• Using a microwave, espresso machine, shake machine, yogurt machine and whip cream machine
• Good listening, writing and reading English

Working hours are 8-9 hours per day during the busy season, including weekends and holidays. The pace is quick, the space is small and potentially stressful, with a supervisor on the floor or available at all times.
