Social Services Program Consultant Supervisor (FPS) – Statewide

About the role

The Georgia Department of Human Services is seeking a Social Services Program Consultant Supervisor (Field Program Specialist Supervisor) to lead a team of TANF specialists across the state. This position supports the Division of Family & Children Services and reports to the Office of Family Independence.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise a team of TANF ESPS specialists, providing guidance on daily assignments and performance.
• Oversee PAMMS updates and ensure coverage for internal and external meetings.
• Interpret and implement federal and state policies related to TANF and other social services programs.
• Collaborate with district leadership to coordinate services and increase public awareness.
• Handle human‑resource and employee‑relations functions for the supervised staff.
• Participate in special projects and policy change initiatives as required.

Required profile

• Experience supervising professional staff in a public‑service or social‑services environment.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state TANF regulations and policies.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multiple levels of leadership.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Required skills

• PAMMS system proficiency (as referenced in duties).
