Kids Plus Attendant (Drop-in Childcare)

About the role

The Elmhurst Park District, established in 1920 and located 16 miles west of Chicago, offers a part-time Kids Plus Attendant position for its drop-in childcare program at Courts Plus. The attendant helps plan, coordinate and run a program supporting children's social, emotional, physical and cognitive development.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning, coordinating and implementing the program
• Enforce rules for behaviour and procedures for maintaining order
• Prepare materials for daily activities before opening
• Adapt activities to the needs and interests of children of all ability levels
• Supervise children of mixed ages
• Maintain cleanliness of Kids Plus and equipment

Required profile

• Some high school education
• Understanding of childcare needs and requirements

Schedule

• Tuesdays 3:45-7:00pm
• Sundays 8:00-11:30am
• Occasional Saturday mornings and weekday mornings, afternoons or evenings
