Social Media Internship

About the role

Join APM Terminals Los Angeles, the largest container terminal in the Western Hemisphere, as a Social Media Intern. You will support the digital communications strategy, creating engaging content that showcases port operations, sustainability initiatives, and community impact.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow APM Terminals Los Angeles’ presence on LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and X.
• Create short‑form videos, graphics, and captions that highlight operational stories and sustainability projects.
• Capture on‑site content at Pier 400, including events, tours, and volunteer activities.
• Maintain a weekly content calendar and respond to audience comments and messages.
• Track performance metrics such as engagement, reach, and follower growth.

Required profile

• Enrolled in a bachelor’s program in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Digital Media, Public Relations, Business or a related field.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Continuous‑improvement mindset with strong written communication skills.

Required skills

• Familiarity with major social media platforms (TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, X).
• Experience with content creation tools such as CapCut, Canva, or Adobe Creative Suite.
• Basic understanding of social media analytics and performance measurement.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
