Smart Home Service Technician

About the role

BRAVAS is seeking a Smart Home Service Technician to deliver premium support for luxury residential automation projects. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain advanced smart‑home systems, ensuring flawless performance and exceptional client experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve issues with installed systems such as Control4, Lutron, Homeworks, Savant, and Crestron.
• Configure, program, and troubleshoot networks, control systems, A/V, and surveillance equipment.
• Use remote access tools to repair and stabilize network‑based systems and set up monitoring platforms.
• Coordinate with the Service Manager to track, document, and resolve recurring service issues.
• Communicate with manufacturer tech support when needed and manage part replacements and orders.
• Identify upgrade opportunities and provide recommendations.
• Deliver client training and support both in‑person and remotely.
• Maintain accurate work order records, time entries, and job costing.
• Participate in on‑call rotation and responsibly maintain company tools, vehicles, and assets.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in residential A/V or smart‑home installation/service.
• Strong understanding of A/V, security, lighting, and home automation systems.
• Ability to read home schematics, plans, and CAD drawings.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and independent work capability.
• Professional communication and client‑service demeanor.
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and ability to pass a background check.
