Operations Project Manager

About the role

As a Business Operations Project Manager within the Direct business, you will connect frontline operational teams with initiatives that improve how they work. You will lead operational improvement projects from concept through implementation, ensuring measurable impact for the teams you support.

Key responsibilities

• Lead large‑scale operational improvement efforts, including technology adoption that supports frontline teams.
• Manage multiple projects through the full lifecycle: planning, development, launch, monitoring, and closure.
• Develop comprehensive project plans covering scope, timelines, resources, dependencies, and risks.
• Serve as liaison between operations and IT, translating business needs into effective technical solutions.
• Facilitate stakeholder interviews, workshops, and user‑acceptance testing to ensure requirements are met.
• Conduct process‑mapping sessions, analyze current workflows, and design optimized, technology‑enabled processes.
• Track project metrics, demonstrate ROI, and support post‑implementation stabilization.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent 10+ years of professional experience.
• 3+ years leading operational improvement or cross‑functional projects in a high‑volume environment.
• Strong communicator and relationship builder comfortable working with frontline staff, operational leaders, and senior leadership.
• Proven track record of delivering projects with measurable business impact.
• Experience driving user adoption and change management for new processes or systems.

Required skills

• Process‑mapping tools such as Visio, Azure DevOps, Smartsheet.
• Process improvement methodologies: Lean, Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt), BPM.
• Project management and documentation skills.
• Analytical and problem‑solving abilities focused on measurable outcomes.
