About the role

The Illinois Department of Natural Resources is hiring two Site Technician II professionals for Rock Cut State Park in Loves Park, IL. The role involves operating heavy equipment, maintaining park facilities, and leading seasonal staff.

Key responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment, perform structural improvements, and conduct basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting work.
• Maintain park grounds including mowing, snow plowing, and routine vehicle maintenance.
• Manage hunter registration, check stations, and operate water or wastewater facilities.
• Clean restrooms, maintain plant equipment, replace parts as needed, and serve as lead worker during seasonal periods, providing guidance and training to staff.
