Site Director – Washington Beech

About the role

The Site Director for Washington Beech oversees the After‑School program, ensuring high‑quality services that support academic growth, social‑emotional development, and health and wellness. Reporting to the Program Administrator and the Child Development Leadership Team, the Director serves as a role model for staff, families, and children.

Key responsibilities

• Prioritize child safety and emotional well‑being, using positive guidance for children and staff.
• Maintain program quality in line with YMCA mission, including curriculum, schedules, staff meetings, professional development, and special events.
• Ensure all personnel, payroll, licensing (EEC), QRIS, and regulatory paperwork are current.
• Manage attendance, child files, evaluations, and reporting to parents and agencies.
• Oversee transportation for participants and coordinate with the Business Manager on family accounts.

Required profile

• Qualified by Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) and Department of Public Health regulations.
• Extensive experience working in urban communities, schools, and with diverse populations.
• Knowledge of Boston community services and ability to connect families with resources.
• Commitment to YMCA mission and the designated BPS school.
