About the role

Join the YMCA of Greater Boston as an Infant/Toddler Teacher, providing family‑centered early education in West Roxbury. You will create a safe, nurturing environment and deliver age‑appropriate curriculum for infants and toddlers.

Key responsibilities

• Prioritize children’s safety and emotional well‑being.
• Plan and implement age‑appropriate curriculum that supports development.
• Provide differentiated instruction and conduct child assessments, offering feedback to families.
• Model YMCA character values and use positive behavior‑management techniques.
• Supervise children, manage transitions, and collaborate with co‑teacher on classroom design and material preparation.

Required profile

• Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Mission‑driven and committed to YMCA’s goals.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for building relationships with families, staff, and community agencies.
• Passionate about working with young children and creating enriching educational experiences.
• At least 21 years old, holds an Early Education and Care (EEC) certification, and will obtain First Aid/CPR, Child Abuse Prevention, Bloodborne Pathogen, and Sexual Harassment training within the specified timeframes.
