Short-Term Spanish Teacher / Paraprofessional

About the role

Covenant Christian High School is seeking an enthusiastic, Christ‑centered Paraprofessional to serve as a permanent substitute and provide full‑time Spanish instruction during a maternity leave (January‑May). This short‑term position offers the opportunity to support multiple classrooms while leading the Spanish curriculum.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver instructional support and supervision across various subjects and grades as needed.
• Teach daily Spanish lessons, plan assessments, and provide feedback to students and parents.
• Manage classroom logistics, including material preparation, attendance, and enforcement of school policies.
• Collaborate with teachers to adapt lessons, assist with grading, and maintain consistency with departmental objectives.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree or higher (Bachelor’s preferred) in Spanish, Education, or a related field.
• Prior experience in paraprofessional, teaching assistant, or substitute teaching roles.
• Strong classroom management, organizational abilities, and excellent communication skills.
• Commitment to a Christ‑centered educational environment and willingness to work with secondary‑school‑aged students.
