About the role

Covenant Christian High School in Indianapolis seeks a dedicated Assistant Softball Coach to support the development of its student‑athletes. The role blends athletic instruction with spiritual mentorship, aiming to foster both competitive success and Christ‑centered character.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and lead practice sessions while teaching rules, strategies, and safety protocols.
  • Mentor athletes academically and spiritually, maintaining high expectations on and off the field.
  • Collaborate with other assistant coaches and team parents to manage the program.
  • Evaluate player fitness, assign positions, and adjust coaching strategies based on strengths and weaknesses.

Required profile

  • Strong Christian faith aligned with the school’s mission.
  • Ability to work with high‑school student athletes and inspire them.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational abilities.

Required skills

  • Extensive knowledge of softball rules and techniques.
  • Experience in pitching or catching preferred.
