About the role
Covenant Christian High School seeks a strong Christian to serve as Assistant Baseball Coach focusing on pitching. The role blends spiritual mentorship with athletic development, supporting student‑athletes both on and off the field.
Key responsibilities
- Educate pitchers on rules, strategies, and techniques.
- Plan, organize, and lead pitching practice sessions.
- Train, encourage, and motivate pitchers for game readiness.
- Teach and enforce safety rules and equipment usage.
- Develop conditioning programs and evaluate athletes’ fitness.
- Adjust coaching strategies based on player strengths and weaknesses.
Required profile
- Maintain high academic and athletic expectations for student‑athletes.
- Collaborate with other assistant coaches and team parents.
- Provide spiritual mentorship aligned with the school’s Christ‑centered mission.
Required skills
- Excellent leadership and motivational abilities.
- Extensive knowledge of baseball pitching techniques.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
